Insider tip
Twelve brand new hard courts on the Lower East Side, opened 2025 in the rebuilt East River Park. Free to play, first-come first-served. During busy times, players line up by placing their rackets in the fence near the court entrance -- add yours to the end and wait your turn. Singles limited to 1 hour, doubles (4 players) to 2 hours. Access via Pier 42, the Delancey St pedestrian bridge over the FDR, or Corlears Hook Bridge. Working water fountain south of the courts near the mini soccer field.
